Steve Jones
To his role as the Chief Operating Officer of Radix, Steve brings a keen understanding of the unique legal, regulatory and financial challenges facing start-up companies in the global marketplace. Steve is an attorney and experienced financial analyst and is skilled in complex arbitration and litigation. Steve previously worked with Peabody Holding Company, where he was heavily involved in the valuation and acquisition of target companies. He played a lead role in working with Lehman Brothers on a $2.4 billion debt offering that resulted in Peabody ceasing to be a publicly traded entity.
Greg Mefford
Greg Mefford is the Chief Strategy Officer of Radix. To this role, he brings extensive experience empowering businesses to meet unique market challenges. Greg previously spent 14 years with Ernest & Julio Gallo Winery, including ten years in Europe. There he was instrumental in opening new markets, building distribution and creating sales and marketing organizations to support the winery’s efforts in the Netherlands, France, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Chris Messina
Chris Messina is the Chief Development Officer of Radix. As an attorney and CPA, Chris is focused on optimizing business opportunities that cross market borders. Chris’ experience includes a background with international law firms and big-four accounting firms where he offered tax, legal and financial advice to multinational corporations. Based in Chicago, Illinois, Chris is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a degree in accounting. He received his J.D. (cum laude) from Harvard Law School. Chris has spoken extensively around the globe on a wide range of issues, including cross-border taxation, business development and cash management and repatriation.
Sanjay Agrawal
Sanjay Agrawal is the Intellectual Property Counsel for Radix. As an attorney with a technical background in electrical engineering, Sanjay’s experience includes advising multi-national companies on how to develop their patent portfolios as well as developing strategies for protecting their inventions. Sanjay previously was in-house counsel for Nestle Purina, where he was globally responsible for all patent matters for Nestle’s PetCare business, including developing and protecting the patent portfolio, analyzing competitor’s patents, and defining a global patent strategy. Further, Sanjay has considerable experience in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, determining the ability to freely operate an invention, as well as possible infringement issues regarding the invention. He has advised clients on patent litigation matters as well as negotiated technology transfer and licensing agreements. Lastly, prior to becoming an attorney, Sanjay spent 14 years as an engineering working for the defense industry, so he understands the engineering process from designing a product to testing the product. Sanjay is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to practice law in Missouri.
Ravi Kini
Ravi Kini will be advising and coordinating with the associates of Radix throughout the world to ensure that Indian entities get the maximum exposure for their intellectual capital. Ravi is the Managing Attorney of M. V. Kini & Co., one of India’s leading law firms with offices in most major cities of India and associates around the world. Ravi has completed his L.L.M. degree in International Finance at the University of Georgia, U.S.A., after having obtained an L.L.B. degree from the University of Bombay. Ravi is specialized in drafting, negotiating and vetting commercial contracts, international agreements, and supervising legal audits. He has been involved in international negotiations on behalf of the Government of India pertaining to foreign investment in the Road sector. He represents government and private airlines in negotiating contracts and regularly advises them on regulatory compliances in India.
Ravi services numerous international clients and helps them understand the legal and corporate environment in India. He also enables Indian entities to successfully negotiate with international partners. Ravi has a keen understanding of international business and is aware of the challenges facing trans-boundary businesses. His association with Radix enables Indian entities to build vital linkages with international partners, to devise a commercialization strategy that has the strongest chance of success.
Krishnan Venkataraman
Krishnan Venkataraman will be involved daily with Radix’s Indian clients, coordinating the transla¬tion of intellectual property into successful, socially relevant products. Krishnan graduated with a B.Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Tech¬nology, Bombay. He has studied graduate courses at Harvard University and the Massachu¬setts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts, aided by a fellowship grant from Harvard’s Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences, where he received an M.S. diploma in Engineering Sciences.
After completing his post graduate studies in science and technology, Krishnan assisted faculty at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore in advanced research projects. He was also chosen as a consultant on a project funded by the World Bank to scientifically evaluate the potential threat of Persistent Organic Pollutants in the South Asia Region. While working as a research associate in the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Krishnan gained valuable insights into the processes that lead to successful enterprises.
Krishnan completed his L.L.B. degree at Delhi University and since has been practicing law with M. V. Kini & Co, one of India’s leading law firms in areas related to IPR law, corporate law, and environmental law. Krishnan looks forward to helping Indian organisations realize the social relevance and commercial potential of their intel¬lectual capital.

The attorneys and employees of these law firms have made substantial contributions of time, effort, and financial resources towards Radix LLC's success. Nonetheless, Radix LLC does not practice law, and the services that it offers are separate and independent from the legal advice and other legal services that the aforementioned law firms provide to their clients. As such, clients that retain Radix LLC do not have the benefit of an attorney-client relationship with Radix LLC or the aforementioned law firms. Read more
